When in doubt between two sizes, we recommend you to pick the larger size of the two. Measuring up your chest size is the most important part as it is essential to get the right size jacket. Identifying your chest size should be achieved by measuring at the widest part of your chest with a tape measure. The lower waist is measured around the part where you normally wear suit trousers, just three fingers below the height of your belly button. For the inside leg size, let someone measure you from the highest point from the inside of your leg down to where your heel hits the floor. Hold the tape measure alongside your leg, keep your legs slightly apart, and do not wear shoes while doing this. *Obviously, the length of the inside leg is much shorter for our Summer Suits. Luckily, the inside leg size is not essential to determine your Summer Suit size. Once you have your measurements, please compare against the table above to identify the correct size. If your chest size falls into a different size category compared to your waist, all you need to do is select the jacket sizing you require. The trousers are ready to go in their stated size but if you need them taken in or need a little extra added, the design allows for a tailor to adjust the waistband and side seams two sizes either way. Our trousers are slightly longer in length than your usual suit. This has been done on purpose so that the trousers look better with sneakers and other casual footwear. Do you need the trousers to be somewhat shorter or longer? No problem! These are adjustments that are relatively easy to do, so in that case please take the trousers to your local tailor (or grandmother) and discuss the possibilities. The trousers can be extended in length up to 1.5 inches and they can be shortened to whatever length you think is still sexy. Since we sell our suits in sets of one size for the jacket and trousers, it is not possible to mix and match. We would like to advise you to choose the right jacket size, and to have the trousers adjusted by a local tailor. The design allows for a tailor to adjust the size of the trousers up to 2 sizes either way (bigger or smaller), by adjusting the waistband or even the side seams. The costs of these adjustments are usually quite low. If worse comes to worst and you or your tailor think it cannot be done, you always have the option to send the unharmed suit back for a refund.
